Default New fuel rail question

I'm in the middle of a fuel injector swap on a '90 l98. Now i know that dirty injectors can cause some flooding and other poor operation. I was wondering if anyone has done anything to "flush out" the fuel rails during the swap just to insure that fuel flow is unimpeded. Or is this not even necessary?

The rails themselves should be clean as long as your fuel filter was good. If you want you could disasemble the rails (its easy) and blow compressed air through them. I might not do it to the regulator, you don't want to tear the diaphram. If you do disassemble them be sure to coat the o-rings with engine oil when you reassemble them.

Sounds good, thanks. I just changed the fuel filter about a week ago, it really needed it. The car ran great for a day, but i think it was so used to getting such poor fuel flow that when it finally got a normal amount of flow, mine injectors decided they couldnt keep up and promptly died and or started leaking. depending on which of my injectors you talk to. :jester
