also it appears the super ram runners are only a couple of mm larger than the stock manifold.....is a accel manifold really worth the money?

You can run the SR without the cs valve.Buy the fuel rail rear plug screw for it when you remove it.
It may take a little longer to start the car when its sat for a while, but really isnt a problem at all,OR you can have the prom programmed to have cold start enrichment done through the injectors I believe.

Also, not speaking from experience but I would upgrade the intake manifold to complete the package.A few more MM will always help. You can always sell your stock TPI to offset the costs of another manifold etc.
:)

Cleaner intake is an unported Accel intake. Dirty one is an unported stock TPI intake.

And comparing the runners.

If you have a problem with hard starting or extended crank time, you can get a custom chip burned to increase the injector crank pulses so that it will add a bit of fuel during cold starts. I have done a few of them this way and it works out fine.

I may have. I'll have to look. In person the accel looks enormous compared to the stock one. The pictures don't do it a justice.

No accel base has the cold start injector. The car will be fine without it. It will crank a couple more times if it is really cold, but that is all. You can program around it in the chip if need be. I did.
