I want to completely remove the A/C system on my 85 L98. Everything other then the compressor seems easy to remove. Is there anybody that had an idler pully or bracket that I can use to replace it so I can retain the stock belt setup? Was there ever an A/C delete option so I could just buy a OEM part?
I'm sure a number on the forum have done it, just can't seem to find much on search.
Well I started to remove my Air Pump and in the process figured I would remove the AC in order to get some of the extra AIR piping removed easier. I can't seem to get the whole AC + Bracket off, seems like the fuel lines are in the way. The Haynes manual didn't mention removing the fuel lines in order to remove it. Are my lines routed wierd or is this a 85 specific issue?
Either way I am pretty sure I need to remove the fuel rail lines, what size are the fittings, because no metric wrech seems to be exactly correct.
