I just finished installing the air pump by pass kit from Dragon’s Breath on my 89. All the hoses have been removed and the headers have been capped off where the smog line attached. Here’s my question I’ve removed the black box beside the AC (not sure what to call it) and the hoses that connect to it. There are two electrical plugs that plug into the underside of the box, what do I do with them; just unplug them? I tired the search and did not come up with anything.
Yep ZIP and stuff. That’s what I did also. I also ran some tape around it so it wasn’t so noticeable when I shoved them back by the injectors.

What did you do on the manifolds? Did you cut the small pipes short and weld them closed or did you just leave the ugly piping on there? Doing this mod myself shortly and wondering what others have done.
I just threaded a pipe cap onto my manifolds to block them off, it's not all that pretty, but it works, cost less than $1, and can be reversed if I'd ever need to in the future. The plugs I just taped and tucked.

I will be cutting them damn tubes out of there and mig weld shut.
I also removed the EGR and will be welding that hole shut too.
When I'm finished removing all that crap the engine bay is going to be so much cleaner looking.
Not to mention easier removal of valve cover and other service duties :hurray:
