Trans leak
I parked my '84 in the garage to do some long needed work. It hasn't been started in two weeks. Yesterday, there was a large puddle of trans fluid beneath it...and it wasn't there the day before. What would cause the tranny to all of a sudden leak fluid Im talking at least a qt or better) after not being run for two weeks? :nopity

This could be the convertor draining the fluid that sits above the hub. Happens a lot to cars that sit. I hope it is that simple. If not I see wreching in the future. Keep fingers crossed. :thumbs:

The torque converter can drain enough to actually overfill the trans. Look for it coming out of the vent on top. If you had another bad seal it would leak all the time. :chevy

Your leak could be from any seal in the tranny but if you are lucky and my guess is right gravity forces fluid in top half of converterthru hub and past front seal. look under at convertor cover it should be wet. When my vette sits about 3 weeks this happens . (fingers crossed) :jester
