I think it's a great idea despite those who wish to 'rain' on the parade. You really woulnd't need that expensive of a laptop to run that kind of software. I'm one of the US IT managers for my company and I purchase laptops all the time. I can probably get you one of our old ones for dirt cheap. In fact I probably have one that I could just donate to the cause. It's not the fastest, but it would work. It's a toshiba PII 233 color w/ CD, sound, USB, serial port.
It has windows 2000 on it right now. I should have it back in my office next week sometime. If you had mentioned this earlier, I had 4 Toshiba 400mhz laptops last month that I could of given to you for a STEAL ($75). I don't make a penny of these. There left over from my company and i give all the money to corporate, so I try to sell them CHEAP to those who need them.
Just let me know....KEEP up the GOOD work!!!!
