I think the new mustangs are 340 horse, not 300. They are heavier though, and I would guess that they have less torque due to the lower displacement. So, it should be relatively close. But why wait around to find out, mod that 95!

Heheh, they are 300 horse, took 'em long enough to catch up. The Cobra looked mighty impressive though, keeping up with that family car on Motor Trend TV, what was it, oh yeah, a Subaru, though it still got beat.
The retro look they are going with is not very aerodynamic, with the overhead valve engine it's a HP motor, no torque to be impressive. Kind of like the ZR-1, it holds a lot of potential but it should be a lot faster for that level of HP. Can't say too much though since GM canned the Firebird and Camaro.
The two cars are a completely different class of car, one day I'm sure they will catch up to the Vette(LT1), but it won't be any time soon.
