Automatic Transmission Service ?
How often should transmission service be done? My 96 has about 42,000 miles on it and to the best of my knowledge has never been serviced. The Chevy dealer close to my house says every 50 K. I bought car used and didn't get an owners manual and I still need to get one. Also I drive my Vette daily.

Nice to meet you redcorvettedave! My friends call me corvettedave too. My 1st name is Dave and the vette happens to be red also.

Every 30k, faithfully! My 94 GMC lasted for 140k (while I had it). I would imagine it is still going. I change it every 10k to 12k now that I use the car for Autox (every third or forth oil change). It's just messy.
