I need a new rear Y pipe and mufflers. I fancy something in stainless. The only ones I have come up with is the Borla. Is there an alternative, or is Borla the answer.
I already have Hooker headers, and front Y pipe, no cats.
The car is mainly used for long distance trips, so resonance is an issue.
Oh, and I would like them to give me another 150 RWHP or so.:D
Screw Borla! What your looking for is the Road Runner stainless steel cat back system by ACME Enterprises. I understand they have dyno tested this system on a stock C4 and have gotten in excess of 150 RWHP. Thats pretty darn good for a system that retails for under $500.00, and all you have to do is bolt it on:thumbs:

 Be nice Kizmo
I'd go with Corsa even though its an LT-1 setup it should fit since yo got Hookers with a little fabrication.
You should check out the Magnaflow catback system. It comes with a Y pipe and stainless mufflers and tips. Looks VERY good. I just recieved the set I ordered, don't have them installed yet, but they look fantastic. Do a search on Magnaflow. A lot of the archived threads about this system includes pictures of other members Vettes with the system installed. You can get a feel if that is the look you are after. I got my Magnaflow L98 catback system for $425.00 including shipping, but shipping to you may be a bit higher.

Re: Stainless exhaust (scofolo)
 I have Borla on my 88
resonance was pretty bad, but I installed catless Y pipes, advanced base timing 2 degrees and generally tuned up the engine control circuits and now it isn't bad :D
Glad to see you have a sense of humor.
The magnaflows are all stainless. I have just the mufflers on my 95 thats all they have available for 92-95. I really like them high quality and a great exhaust tone.
So how well do people like the American dream car over in the U.K.?
P.S. The Magnaflow system is a lot less money vs. the Borla, at least it is here in the U.S.
I can't comment on the others, but I have the Borla y-pipe on my car and it is a nice piece. I got a decent gain at the track after installing the Borla y-pipe with a set of two chamber Flows.
Thanks for the input everybody. I will check out Borla, Magnaflow an Corsa.
Kismo, the sense of humour thing is sometimes a bit difficult for us Brits. One of the main differences (IMHO) between us either side of the pond is thay while Americans have a great sense of humour (you only have to look at Sergeant Bilko onwards), you seem to have a time and place for it. All circumstances are good for a joke to us - which is why we can sometimes come across as arseholes. (like probably now).
The Corvette is not really very well known over here, it is all hot hatches, Beemers, etc. We do have some good cars though, TVR, Jaguar, Aston Martin etc., but they are very pricey compared to the Corvette. I think the Left Hand Drive puts a lot of people off, but hey, their loss!
PS I don't seem to be able to find Acme industries website - do you have a link??? (See what I mean?)
