Have any of you ever replaced your failed power antenna with a unit made by Hirschmann? Any good? These things are all over ebay at a pretty good price, but will require some wire splicing.

Re: Power Antenna (sundbergjc)
If your power antenna motor is good, but the mast doesn't work you can replace just the mast with a GM unit for about $40 at the dealer and $25~$30 on-line order.
Also be sure to check the atnenna relay before buying a new motor assembly. The relays are about $15.

I did two summers ago.
You must get a coaxial adaptor to mate the end of the antenna coaxial coming from the antenna and the end coming from the car. I got one at a radio installation center at Best Buy for under $10. Then, you need to be able to mate the wires from the antenna with different color wires at the relay. The relay is found under the plastic halo at the rear of the hatch window.
