Re: Oil Filter (War Machine)
The NAPA gold filter is made by Wix and both are good. Shy away from the NAPA silver and the discount filters. If you want the best, look at the K&N and they are not cheap!

Oil Filter
In my owners manual it says us an AC Delco PF25. My family has had tons of Chevy's, and we have always used AC Delco, so i'm a bit partial. Anyone use anything else? Just gathering some opinions, this is my first spring with the car, so I want to do it right.
Thanks! :seeya

The bonus with the K&N filter is the nut welded on the bottom.

I use the AC PF-35. It's an inch longer, but still within the envelope. (X-braces stick down further than the filter). 1986 L98.

Re: Oil Filter (85-Black-Z51)
AC Delco 1218, I found the metal tops too thin on the others and they engage the oil cooler retainer when you try to get them off
1218 holds more yet fits above the x brace
