Default SuperRam questions

I have been thinking about mods for the car latly and have heard some talk about SuperRams. I have looked at them on the LPE website and from the looks of it they seem pretty cool. I just have a few questions about it though. First, is there any benifit from putting one of these on a stock 1990 L98? If no, would it benifit an L98 with 1.6 RR, long tube headers and a flowmaster catback, and a few other smaller mods? What about the Superram options from LPE? I see there is a Superram kit for $800 that includes the intake. There is also another kit for around $3500. I know the $3500 kit comes with alot more stuff, but would that be necessary for what little modification my engine has? I dont plan to do much more than the few mods described above and maybe the SuperRam. Also, would adding a larger throttle body with the superram help alot more? As you can see I have many questions, hopfully some of them are actually intelligent. Thanks in advance for your input. I just LOVE the forum!!!

that 3500 kit is with the DFI for people who dont have fuel injection now and/or want to convert

to get everything out of it, you'd have to change cams, but it will help an otherwise stock bottom

you dont need a bigger TB

As Vader said it will help a little, but to really get the benefit of that intake, you should change cam and do some head work. I think you'd be better off using the $ for a converter and maybe gears depending on what you have now. If you ever decide to tear further into the engine, the superram /219 cam/head combo is hard to beat.

Another consideration would be to watch the for sale section. If a SR comes up for sale for a good price, I would grab it. Remember, the plennum and runners on the L98 were made for a 305 not a 350.
