Default Need some wheel assistance...

I want to get a new set of wheels for my car. Keep in mind that I already have practically new (not sure how they survive, but they do) 17" tires that I do not want to have to replace. So whatever wheels I get I want to put these on.

What size Y2k chrome wheels will fit? Something off one of the newer sytle vettes is what I am looking for. But need sizes that will fit before persueing and I hate trying to figure out wheel sized. Seem to always get burned.

So I will leave it up to you guys to direct me in the right direction. Thanks

Well, the rear wheels on the C5 is a 18" wheel, but if you could get 2 sets of front wheels, they should fit.

The other option is to get repro's.. they make 17x9.5" sets, which should fit your tires. I am planning on doing this with a set of repro Z06 wheels myself..

AAA Rims seems to have a great selection:
http://www.aaarims.com/specials/corvette.shtml

Personally, I think both wheels look great, but I prefer the Z06 style (1).. but to each their own!! :D

 I've been making the same decision. I do have to replace the wheels too, but I have the LTPWS to worry about. I've decided I like the Y2Ks the best and the only place that I've found them in the 17x9.5 size is at:

http://wheelcontact.com/catalog/whee...hp?wheels_id=7

If someone knows where else they can be found I'd like to price shop. Does anyone know if the existing sensors will strap in if I decide to go with 18s?

Darkmke- check out the link to AAA wheels above.. they seem to have a bunch of sizes for most of the Vette wheels.. might find some there.

They should.. my wheels are 17"x9.5" and I have 275/40/17 tires.. so all should be good.. the thing you have to be concerned is the offset.. not sure what offset you need with your 86 (was that right?)

Oh well.. 3 years isnt all that big in the grand scheme of things (origin of the cosmos and all. ;) )

But, with an 89, you should be OK with any of the listed wheels.. I beleive it is the same offset as the LT1 and C5 years.. (someone chime in here if I am wrong!!!!)

Thanks guys! At least I know what I can get now. Now I just have to decide which ones to get.

Wouldn't be some white vettes out there sporting either of these wheels are there? :jester

 Thanks, AAA has the stock sizes 17x8.5 and 18x9.5 in the Y2Ks. I've seen a better selection for the Z06 wheels all around but the link I posted was the only one for the "normal size" for my '95 in the Y2K style that I've found.
