My brake system warning light came on today not staying on, but I do have to pump the pedal once. Book side it is a hydraulic problem, could it be the Master cylinder. I don't see any leaks. What do you think.

You definately have air in the line anytime pumping the brakes help. I would start off looking at each caliper for leaks. Bleeding the brakes most likely will only temporarily correct the problem. You probably have a bad caliper seal or master. Let us know what you find :auto:

 If you have an external leak, such as a hose or caliper, you will note two things: One, the presence of fluid on aor around the caliper housing, the hose or somewhere along the brake lines or. Two, a loss of fluid in the Master Cylinder reservoirs.
If there is no loss of fluid and no sign of external leaks, then the culprit is likely the Master Cylinder. Time and dirty brake fluid can wear the cylinder bore and the rubber O rings, allowing the fluid to get past the piston. I have heard claims, but never seen fluid leaking back into the brake booster.
How often do you flush the brake fluid and how old is the master cylinder?
