I have posted earlier about my injectors not shooting fuel out and my responces were fuel filter, fuel pump, and fuel pressure. both pump and filter were replaced and still nothing. As for fuel pressure it is posible to do fuel pressure if the car wont start??? Also the fuel pump came with a plug for the wires to go into the new pump which were origonally just screwed on so i had to cut and ad the plug for the new pump. Is there any possibility maybe i have crossed the wires and the pump is rotating backwards because i can hear the pump engage????? any help would be appreciated!! Thanks :mad
Check for fuel at the shrader valve, it looks like a air valve and its on the fuel rail. Just press it down and you should get s squirt of gas from the rail have a rag handy. Also on the diagnostic plug under the dash, if you put a jumper wire from the battery to the fuel pump diagnostic terminal. you will hear the pump turning in the tank with the engine off. While its turning check for fuel pressure. if no pressure, you might have put those wires on backwards. I tested my pump before i installed it. I just put a 12volt jumper wire to the positive and grounded the ground.
If you have a fuel squirt, you can check the injectors with a electrical bulb tester. If you turn the engine over with the tester between the injector wires , the computer sends a burst of electricity to the injector and the light will light intermittently. How do you know your injectors were not squirting? I would just pull a plug and see if it is soaked with gas. If it is, it could be your spark. isnt troubleshooting fun.. :banghead:
