Just repace all the bushings, etc... and be done...Look at the shaft and make sure it is not worn... You dont need to measure anything... Feel of it.... :thumbs:

I know this may sound bad......but you maybe better off just purchasing a new housing and a distributor shaft assembly from AC Delco. You may have a problem finding the bushings. As far as I know they are not available as an aftermarket replacement part from any major parts store. There is a rebuilder here in Portland Oregon that can supply them for you if you really want to rebuild your distributor. Here is their contact information:

Actually the bushing are ok .. it s the end play i am considering "tightning".. may regear as well.. but as it is....it works fine....
should thr be some end play or none...any teck info on this?
