Is it constant or intermittent? Are there any codes now?
Try pulling the codes using a paper clip between A&B at the ALDL. If the SES won't flash, check for a short in the Brn/Wht wire from the 15-way connector from the SES light bulb to the ECM at pin A5.
If the wire is on you likely have a problem with the CalPac (did you have it out recently?) or the ECM.
BTW, you can clear the codes by opening the connector in the Or wire near the battery for 1 minute; this preserves your clock & radio presets.
I scanned for errors and it came up without any. Cleared all codes, and unhooked battery. Still getting that irritating "SYS'' message on dash?
Anybody with any solutions?
If the SYS light is flashing in the speedo display, I'd look at having the battery tested. It might be the first indication of one that's on the way out.

Ok...I replaced the battery today. One hour to take old one out and 5 minutes to install new one (first time). Still getting those intermittent flashing
"SYS". I am lost now.
Ben, read this thread and if you have any more questions, just shoot me an email and I'll try to send you the procedure from the service manual that you use to find out what code is set in the CCM. http://forums.corvetteforum.com/zerothread?id=799993 :steering:
