Just got the MAD lowering kit for my '91. Although I am fairly good with suspensions (I have raised numerous 4x4's and lowered a variety of other cars) I have never done a Corvette. If somebody with experience in this could post a step by step for me I would appreciate it. Thanks
If it's the rear, it's a piece of cake. The only thing I make sure I tell people, is after you put the new rear bolts in, to take it for a ride, and allow the rear to "settle" before you decide if it's permanent or not.. They'll settle quite a bit.
For the rears though, all I did was put a small block of wood on my floor jack, taking just enough pressure off of the rear spring. The old nut/bolt came out by hand, at that point, and the new bushings/bolt/nut slides right down in. I left about 3/4" of bolt sticking out through the bottom before I found the "right" height for me..
I was planning on doing the front and rear. I don't even see where the urethane pad goes. The rear bolt does look easy enough. MAD didn't send me any instructions at all. Did you do your rear and front?

No, I just did the rear. I wasn't daring enough(nor did I want to after lowering the rear, I loved the way it looked) to try it myself. I MAY, down the road, just not now.. The roads really suck around here.
The rear is easy, so you don't need to worry about that.. Front, Agent86 is right, those directions are pretty good!!
Re: Help with Lowering Kit install (purplemajesty)
Thanks, I appreciate the help. this doesn't look too difficult. Typical pain in the butt suspension work. I'll post pics when done and with my new polished ZR1 rims and Dunlop SP8000 rubber.
No one part of the process is particularly difficult. One thing I did was completly remove the control arms. You don't have to but I am installing poly bushings as well. It made getting the spring out much easier.

Right on!
If you are going to go through all the trouble/hassle of getting the front spring out. It definitely makes sense to go ahead and do poly-bushings at the same time.
Dropping the car and adding poly made a HUGE difference in handling.
