Default my engine over heated help please!!!!!!!

Once again something else now went wrong I ahd my tranny fixed that was over (4+3) now on my other post I had tps sensor proble I was going to get to that.

I took it to school loved how it cruised i was not even giving it gas it was going 40mph by itself. Monster torque thats what the l98 is all about.

On my way back home from i heard a knocking sound it went away once I got of the free way the oil light went on automatically. I said the oil temp was at 300 then it went up to 325 it was an oven couldn't get near. My water temp was low at 110.

Now my oil pressure is at 13 I aded oil and it went up to 22 at iddle now could my oil pump be gone?

What damages can having oil temp to the 325 and water temp at 100-125?

Fearong that the internal parts are gone it does turn on but oil pressure is very low.

Any other suggestion to build it up if it tear it appart are welcomed.

their is no way that your oil temp was 300+ and you water temp was 110 you must have read the gauge wrong or not workin properly, but if your oil pressure is 22 lbs above an idle you may have done some damage. do you hear any knocking after you added the oil ? if you do then you probalby damaged some main or rod bearings. if not it is still possible to have done damage but its hard to say how bad without pulling the pan and pulling a few bearing caps. also how low was the oil? if your light went on then you had to be at least 3 quarts low :nono:

 Sounds like you could have some malfunctioning guages,,,question is which ones.

Coolant at 110 is definitely wrong if the engine was running ten minutes or more.

Oil at 300+ also sounds a little whacky!

1) is the rd full of coolant?

2) is the crankcase full of oil?

3) what oil pressure do you have? 22 lbs at idle is not unusual, depending on what viscosity oil you are using

I would do a lot of visual checks before I started tearing things apart. You may well have a serious problem(s) but I would approach it from the simplistic, logical approach

If there was little to no water in it, it could have overheated and read a low water temp, because of no water contacting the sending unit. In a case like that, the oil would get hot and thin out, dropping the pressure. It is possible you didn't hurt it badly, but you're going to have to check it out, thoroughly. Good luck, and...
