Heading out to test....
1.) Conversion to SD. Corky went 10.67@127 on a 1.44 60', I went 10.79@127 on a 1.52 60' in about 2500 DA days. So we think we have a good baseline for the MAF on the cars. Now I hope the SD will pan out and give us the extra air these things *should* want.
2.) Last night I found an old hac that allows with the 730ECM, the ability to tie my WB02 into any logging system!!! All you need to do is run the Vout signal from the WB to pin A3 of the 730 ECM. Worked on it last night for about 2 hours and BINGO, works like a champ!!! This could be VERY helpful. You will also need the hacked version of the AUJP bin. Only downfall is the check engine light is illuminated. I can live with that though to have this ability.
3.) Last thing changed, I went to 28" tall tires x10.5" wide. They look HUGE! Holy cow. hopefully I can put down some bad azz 60' times now. low 1.4s sound good. :smash:
Well I will report how the car does.....wish me luck and pray the weather here in nasty PA holds out for me
PS...Heading to Beaver Springs for a private track rental....Pete K or anyone else near, spectators are free....or better yet get your cars over there and flog them a little. Probably some dust starting to form on those pistons that needs removed :D :jester

A couple things... The 3.07 is a tall gear, won't the 28" tires make it even taller? And do you think you could see a formidable drop in your ET with some 3.73 or 3.54? I guess I'm wondering why you guys seem to be resisting a gear change. With the powerband of the 406's I understand, but seems that these motors would want more RPM.
I realize your spinning out of the hole and gears would make that worse. But at a well prepped tracked with more launch experience, all that goes away. Just curious.
28X10.5" tires have put several Mustangs in the 7's. They should provide enough grip to A. Get you the time you'd like B. Shatter your D44
Let's hope B. stay's away a while ;)
Go get 'em!
Its been a long time since i have posted here, (i hate school), but it has been interesting reading up on your 434!! Wow, that thing is doing awesome. btw, i sent you an e-mail, hopefully i will be able to chat with you later.
Goold luck at the drags!!

DA was horrible. Got it tuned to the point its running the 2nd half of the track nearly as good as with the MAF.
Thus far I am somewhat disappointed in the system and the gains I truely thought would be yielded with the elimination of the MAF. MPH was hitting near 126MPH. Corky was in pittsbugh racing, he had a 3100+ DA when I was talking with him at one point, his air temp was slightly lower than at my track, so I can only imagine that the air was also worse. (stopping off at Summit tomorrow to buy a weather station, almost definately need then to make an accurate comparison when doing these tests/comparisons.) My gut tells me it *might* have gained a hair, but nothing like I suspected. Least not yet, but the AFR was 12.9-13.2 across the boards, logging the WB, and we played with the timing. So I don't see any miracles happening.
Last thing is the TB, which if you recall in an earlier post of mine, I said I feel the TB might have A LOT more to do with airflow than the MAF, and I wouldn't be surprised at all that the MAF might even be helping funnel the air, and create velocity.....So Chris I will be calling you REAL soon to set something up. This computer switch over cost me well over 300 beans, and I am not feeling it gave me squat. Time will only tell.......
Heading out tomorrow to run side by Corky on the same track to get even a better comparison.
We'll post the results....
PS: Tires did help, a little, but that is why I am only comparing 1/8=>1/4 times. Eliminates the variable that hooking and not introduces...
I can't wait to see them this year with their 7.1 litre engines.
