So today I was going to install my new B&M extra large tranny pad (3qt extra fluid and all aluminum with fins). Well got all the bolts except 1. Damn exhaust was in the way. Now the previous owner put in 3" B&B Triflow system, so I figure its larger then stock LT1 setup. Was removing the driver's side to resonator pipe required to remove the pan stock?
I ended up not putting on the pan because I didn't want to mess with the slip fit connectors today. Already had plenty of mess changing the rear-end fluid out.
On my 85 I could have just loosened the exhaust hangers and gotten enough clearance, but when I tried that easy route today its so damn ridgid (not that its a bad thing) that it didn't give me a bit of extra clearance.
