Default Electrically assisted turbo

Electrically assited turbo

Garrett has also developed an electrically assisted turbocharger that doesn't rely solely on exhaust gas flow energy.

I think your thinkin of the crappy plastic POS that break and drop pieces in your motor.

This is not that. That turbo is boosted by the exhaust gas, but it starts spooling electroically to eleiminate the lag associated with low rpms. Instead of waiting for more exhaust gas from high rpms, this will start spinning itself. Seems like a good Although, stuff is gettin mighty involved.

Maybe the electric motor will also keep it spinning between shifts as not to loose momentum.

Holding your foot to the floor should also help out during shifts.
