Nope, the V8 lifters are about 0.400" too tall, the V6 lifters are perfect height... but you have to watch the base circle of the cam...

A reground or even a small base circle cam will not yield the required clearance to run OEM V-8 roller lifters. The oil "band" on the lifter body is VERY out of the lifter bore on a non-roller block. Its not even close. I beleive the .400 previously stated, but I didnt measure it myself. If you run the OEM V-8 roller lifters in a non-roller block you will have ZERO oil pressure. It will all bleed right out of the lifters. Seriously. Not even close. Will not work. The 60 degree SEFI V-6 lifters are the ONLY non-aftermarket lifters that will work. Period. Sorry to ruin your day...

comp,
I have done this conversion. You need the V6 lifters. The v8 lifters will need to drop about 0.400" to be in the correct spot. You cannot grind this much off your cam....

Just my two cents, sounds like a lot of trouble time and money just to have a roller cam. Why not just get the right flat tappet for your setup.
