I didn't know why you wanted to reporgram your EPROM seeing as how it is so cheap to get it dialed in by someone else with tons more experience than we have. As to the down time, there is none. They sent me the chip within a week. That was pretty good but not perfect. Got them readings and they sent me another in the mail. Now I swap it out. This goes on till it is perfect. Just something for you to consider.

As to the software, if you buy the old cheap ones, it will take you time to program in assembly code. I have seen the newer ones that you can make a 3 dimensional graph and alter it any way you want. Those are expensive but easier to use.
GREETINGS AND THANKS FOR THE REPLY, LET US ALL BOW OUR HEADS FOR THOSE OF US WHO LOST OUR BEST FRIENDS IN CAR ACCIDENTS...OUR VETTES! . IN MY CASE THIS BONEHEAD MADE A RIGHT TURN INTO THE RIGHT HAND TURNING LANE AND THAT WAS ALL SHE WROTE.....SEMI-BROADSIDE! ANYWAY, AS I HAVE DR'S APPTS AND LIVE ALONE, DOWN TIME IS CRITICAL. I FIGURED THAT IT WOULD BE EASIER TO GET A DEVICE THAT I COULD PLAY AROUND WITH W/OUT HAVING TO FOOL WITH A COMPUTER OR SENDING OUT A CHIP OR THE LIKE. IF YOU OR ANYONE HEARS OF SUCH A DEVICE W/OUT SENDING OUT THE CHIP, USE OF A COMPUTER TO PROGRAM A CHIP, ETC., PLEASE LET ME KNOW. THANKS!
