Gee, I was told my CompCam #08-501-8 was the mildest camshaft they made for my car. Guess not!
My roller specs in my '87:
Gross Valve lift: .488 IN .495 EX
Durantion at .050": 212 IN 218 EX
Lobe Separation: 112 degrees
My engine idles well but it does have a little rumpity. It has tons of off-idle torque, enough to turn 315/35/17 Michelin Pilot Sports to grease from a dead stop. Climbs on the cam hard at 3500 RPM. I shift at 5000-5200. I passed the CA smog test with flying colors.
