You could get well into the 12s with the LT4 conversion package which includes a LT4 intak, heads and the LT4 hotcam. You can get even more if you take those new LT4 heads and have them ported out. The kit is a little over $2k so that leaves some cash for a CNC port job. Or you can find a set of AFR LT4 heads, already ported, get the LT4 intake and get a larger cam than the hot cam for even better performance. A 383 would probably cost you a little more than $4k.

AFR LT4 style ported heads, LT4 intake and a cam bigger than the hot cam. Will put you in the mid 12's all day long...

The 383 conversion will probably cost around $6500-$10000 to do it right. But it would put you into the 11's...

Default 12's

If mid to low 12's are what your after, no need to touch the bottom end. Have your stock heads CNC ported, get a matching cam, a higher stall converter, stcky tires, and your there.

What mods do you have now? I'm guessing the usual freebies? Just wondering because I have a 95 auto and have got 13.2 but can't seem to get any better time than that stock so I'm looking for a .2.-3 increase to get me near that 12.9 so just wondering what your mods were.

Go with the LT4 conversion pack. That gives you $1k to play with.
