85 Corvette Overdrive problem

Default 85 Corvette Overdrive problem
I have an 85 Corvette with an automatic trans that doesn't go into overdrive until it hits about 57 MPH. Also hitting the brake pedal does not disengage it when it is in over 57. Anyone have any ideas where I should start looking? Thx for any assistance

is TV adjusted , everything under the hood OK

Touching the brake will disengage the torque converter.

If you are running the original stock 85 chip and stock tranny, your '85 shoudl be shifting into overdrive at the annoying 24mph. They had a updated chip you could buy from GM which delayed the lockup to a higher speed (36 or 40mph or something.)

If your TV cable is adjusted right, check your fluid and have the tranny looked at.
