so 3100 blower-1100 nitrous =2100...@ 4.00/lb. that= 525 lbs of nitrous to equal the cost.
On a 100 shot, lets say 1/LB per pass..that's 525 passes to equall the blower cost. I have only filled 6 bottles in the last 2 yrs. Plus all the rest of the time you still have the economics and driveability of a stock motor.

Actually your figures are incorrect, and blower kit will run about ~$4,000-4,500 and you'll need about another $1,500 in extras. So you'll be able to get more lbs than that
I just posted a question in Tech before finding this thread.
My question is this: Can a stealth nitrous install pass California Smog? I don't want to spend the money and end up failing the visual inspection. Sure, there are pirate smog shops out there, and I know I could mount a stock TPI for the test, and then swap to a plumbed set-up for 2 years before having to switch back, but who wants the hassle? I'm trying to find out if anybody has managed to pass an L98 thru smog with nitrous plumbing in place. Can it be done?
It is, I just passed my visual and dyno in June of this year. Query EO # D-266-2 in the link below........there's a typo when they say LT1, as they meant L98. The LT motors are covered under another EO number

Tim, I just went over to the NOS site and you're right. Goes to show you how thoroughly Gov't people can muck things up.........typos galore in that EO.
Must've been one of their non-english speaking phone operators writing that one
