Default Another landmine, TPS connector needed!

To combat my 22 and 33 errors I went and grabbed 2 new MAF relays and a new TPS. When I went to put on the TPS I thought it was curious that the connector had a plastic tie wrap around it. After I cut it off I found out why.

Evidently the prior owner(s) screwed up the connector somehow and this was their fix. No wonder it has idled like hell ever since I got it. Does anyone have a replacement connector that I could splice in to fix this mess or know of a source where I could get one. So far I checked Ecklers and didn't see anything suitable.

I can't see the point of even trying to calibrate the TPS until I get a connector that doesn't look like it was hit with a hammer.

You should be able to go to Car Quest or NAPA to get a three way male weather pak connector to replace the one you have. Just break away the remaining plastic around that last pin and remove them and install them into the new connector.

Yeah...

Those connectors all around the car are hard to find. I had a bad female connector at my fuel pump relay. I couldn't find any 5 pin weather proof ones so I just soldered the wires to the pins of the relay. Works well but I'd rather not have to do things that way. Same way with that connector inside the gas tank that the fuel pump plugs into. Soldered that as well.

Try this link for electeical connectors: http://www.haywireinc.com/

If that doesn't work get a TPS test connector from MAM and splice it into the wiring.
