pr dr lock does't work
i took one of my door pannels off of my 86 vette and i had trouble disconnecting the pr dr switch from the wireing harness. i took a flat head screwdiver and pryed it apart. the screwdriver head touched the prongs on the switch and gave off a spark. now when i attach the switch to the wireing harness i get nothing. i checked for power to the wireing harness and there is power. i tried a new switch and still nothing. i checked the fuse and thats ok. anybody have a clue? i'm lost

Not positive on 86 but on 90 there a "almost secret" four fuse panel up in dash on passenger side and one is for door locks. Remove passenger side hush panel and look up high towards front of car (sometimes behind a wire harness) and its there where it hides. But again, I'm not sure about 86, maybe an 86 owner will chime in, and if it's only one side, then dont bother here, as it will only be fuse if both sides dont work. Good luck
