.0 mpg?
Today as I was driving along, my average mpg and my "miles until fillup" indicators on my 88 both went to 0. Nothing else seemed to change.
I drove for probably 10 more miles with no problems, then finally my average mpg went up to .1. I hit the reset button and all was well. Since it did ultimately go up to .1, I don't think it's any sort of calculation problem. I think it simply forgot the number(s), but not the interval over which it had been remembering.
What would cause something like this? Is there some sort of automatic reset, or am I looking at something like an unhappy PROM? I haven't extensively tested it since this happened, but all seemed well after I hit the reset button.
