Im going to run the Comp cmas 08-305-8 hyd. roller cam. .510/.510 lift 220/230 duration 114 LSa. It says required spring are the 986-16, BUT im goin to use a 1.6 ratio roller rocker. sooooo what springs should I use? and also will I need any longer valves? oh yeah its for a 90 L98
Hippie, I hate those springs...not 'cause they suck or break, but they do require me to machine my heads. Not a big deal if I was pulling my heads, but I'm not.
I'm in the process of installing cc 26918 springs, they fit stock chevy heads with no machining. About $800 for spring, retainers, rockers, pushrods, guideplates and cups.
