Clunk or Thunk....Part II
Well; I climbed up under the blue beast this morning to inspect for the cause of the sound I was hearing 
and I found it 
I have a split bushing on the inner side of the left side strut rod. It did vibrate a bit when I hit on it with my rubber mallet.
I'm going to go ahead and order polly bushings for the strut rods, control arms, and for the spring cushions
I'll be doing the job myself in about two weeks I'll be taking some pictures as I progress through the job and I'll post them here for all to marvel at...so stay tuned

Glad you found it. I'll be replacing all the bushings this winter with poly also. Suspension Restoration Parts has all the energy bushing in stock for probably the best price.http://www.suspension.com/
