quick 85 question

Default quick 85 question

if I remove the cat and put flowmasters will I run into computer/check engine light problems? do I just plug that emition tube?

You won't throw any codes from doing the exhaust, you can plug the tube from the cat it's from the air pump.

I'd leave the AIR tube unplugged to prevent pressure building in the AIR system. That, or reconfigure the diverter valve so the pump output is directed into the exhaust manifolds, full time.

I removed everything with no code. Run mufflers with true duells.

I also have an '85 with series 50 Flow's and Headers.
I have two separate pipes from front to back with cats staggered along the toque tube a little better than half way to the front for ground clearence purposes. The driver side has the O2 sensor in the header and the passenger side pipe has the air injection tube piped into the exhaust itself not the cat. I'm sure one side probably is more efficient than the other but just wanted to let you know what I have done.

No codes for me and I did pass the local emission.
