Default EGR removal

Any one used a block off plate, and removed it completely.I have my intake off, and was contemplating removal after seeing the inside of my tpi system. Thanks Ron B.

I made a plate, just a bit of 18 gauge stainless wth two holes drilled in it. You may or may not get a code 32. Doesn't really matter if you do apart from S.E.S. light on dash.

You can get it programmed out, and all the other mods you may have catered for too, from Jesse Azzato as above, among others. He did mine for me and I am well satisfied.

I made 2 block off plates and eliminated egr tube and diaphram. I have had it this way for 6 months and no codes or problems. The only reason I did, was to clean up the engine bay. I also eliminated the air pump and its related crap. Valve cover removal is a snap as a bonus.

From a functional point of view, it is best to keep the EGR system. It reduces the tendency to knock at part load and there is evidence that it actually improves gas mileage. It is closed at full throttle so it does not cost any power.
