I just got finished installing a set of Hooker long tubes on my 90 The drivers side was no problem to install. But the passenger side was a pain. I had to grind the K Member a little and also trim the heat shield to the fuel filter slightly. The #8 header bolt was a REAL pain to get to. I took a old wrench and ground it down quite thin. I also heated it and bent it like a L and got on the bolt and could only turn it an eighth of a turn at a time till it tightened up. But thank goodness I got them all tightened up. Make sure after ya install those things that you heat up the motor and go back over the bolts and retighten em. Do this a few times to heat cycle them. By the way I used Fel Pro gaskets with a nice even bead of the RED Permatex on both sides of the gasket and the Stage #8 locking bolts. GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR INSTALL the shorties should go on easier than the long tubes

I've ordered a set of EM LTs...they're including Stage 8 locking bolts and FelPro gaskets with my order (for a cost, of course)...

It shouldn't matter if the heads are D-port since the headers are not.
