In the LT4 because of the increased valvetrain harmonics associated with the roller rockers, GM used a knock module that was less sensitive than the LT1's.
I'm using the LT4 K/M in my car, not sure how much it really helps.
I hope your not paying the shop much to install the K/M. Because it only takes about 5 minutes to do.

$25 is a real good deal on one. I paid $28 plus shipping from GM Parts Direct. I put mine in after I installed 1.6 RRs and could tell a difference in so far as more consistent power.
