I'm posting this for a guy I work with. He's got an 85 with a Doug Nash 4+3 trans. Where can he find an overdrive pan gasket? The Chevy house has been no help to him, so I said I'd try. Any suggustions?
If he really want's one Try Eckler's or Mid-America. I bought my last one from one of them.
I'd suggest searching the archives on getting the OD pan to seal. I've had bad luck with using the gasket. The fluid seems to seep right thru the gasket after a few days. Scorp508 (I think) has a procedure in the archives for using only RTV to seal the pan. I'm going to try that next on my 86.

tld-corvette, ecklers, mid america all have it.
I've had a bitch of a time getting the pan to seal... because it's hard to remove it without bending the flange.
Someone recommended using mopar transaxle RTV, supposed to be the best stuff there is.
It worked better than permaset's rtv, but still didn't seal it up.
ALso, the overdrive cooler lines will constantly weep atf onto the sealing surface and wash away the rtv. I disconnected the lines until the rtv had a chance to set up.
