valve springs weak.
Hi all, its been a while but finally made it back to the forum. I have the zz3 engine in my 87 vette, and a week ago it broke 1 valve spring, and bent 1 push rod on #1 cylinder. I am going back with the zz4 spring kit. Question is , will I see any hp gain from this? If so how much.

I can't see different springs yielding horsepower unless you had some springs in their with the wrong spring rates, size, ETC. The bent pushrods may have been cause by a faulty valve lash setting.

If the old springs where weak you will see some gains in the uper rpm range.
