Spark advance question
Is the total timing the spark advance + base timing?
If so, does that mean since my base is 6 degrees and my advance is 33, that at WOT my total timing is 39 degrees, and at cruise speed it is 42?
Does this sound like too much?
I am trying to track down a knock retard issue and was wondering if there is too much timing in my chip.

At cruise you want much more timing than WOT, hence the 42*. Since your not packing the cylinders as much, the cumbustion is not as efficient and it needs a little more of a head start to give good results.
I thought that when it said spark advance was 33 degrees, the total was the base + spark advance.
**EDIT**
Hey Ski, I just bought a Power Programmer 2, but the Datarase 2 didn't come or show up on my credit card for some reason, so I'll have to order one from a different company.
But in the mean time, when I get my adapter rigged up (so my Memcal will connect to the programmer without taking things apart) I can read the .bin file and post it for people to look at. I know there's problems with it right now.
