Default 95 LT1 tunning

I have a 1995 corvette that I have done many mods to and have had Bryan at PCMFORLESS do the tunning for it to get it running. Now I would like to do the rest of the tunning myself. I have a cable all ready so my question is, what all do I need to tune it?

If you have a cable then go to: www.tunercat.com

And download their tuner software. Then you have to purchase the $EE PCM definition file from Tuner Cat to be able to download and reprogram your PCM.

TJ, I contacted TC and they told me that a scan tool would be helpful. They recommend Datamaster. Do I need a scan tool or will I be able to tune without? And if I need a scan tool is there another good one out there because I heard from several people including you that the support sux. Thanks Ray

Ray, typically with Datamaster you won't need any support. It is very easy to use and it has a very good comprehensive help menue and software manual built it. If you contact Andy at AKM Cables. he can sell you the authorization code for DM. With DM you can get 20 data logging sessions before you have to buy it. And it does work well, I can say that. Download it and try it as it is free to download from:

www.ttspowersystems.com

Andys website is:

www.akmcables.com

I don't beleive you would have any problems with it that would require their assistance anyway. Like I mentioned if you need to re-authorize it Andy can handle that just fine.

Thanks for the web sites TJ. Is it posible to tune without a scanning tool because I don't have a laptop right now that's capable of doing it.

rtracy,

I agree with TJ, you should get a logging sofware program of some sort... otherwise you are virtually tuning in the blind.

There is datamaster or Autotap, but I don't think autotap works with the 95's as they are a Quasi OBD1 /II car. So I would say stick with Datamaster.
