Waited many years and I finally got me a nice 93 LT1, A4. I'm currently in the plan to up grade my Vette with some 354 gears first, K&N open air filter, and some 1.6 roller rocks with LT4 springs, guide plate, and harden push rods. My questions is how do I go about recalibrating the speedometer with the new gears, and will I need a performance chip burned to this new configuration?
Thanks...
You will need to change the speedo pickup gear in the A4 to calibrate the speedo to the new gears.
You won't likely need a new chip burned but an AFPR would be handy so you could bump fuel pressure a few pounds above the current value, as measured at idle with the vacuum line disconnected.

IIRC, a Hypertech PowerProgrammer III will do gear change correction for speedos. Another way is the chip method, or you can change the physical speedo gear.
