Mine are the same way. It appears that the analog gauges always read lower than the digital.
I started watching the digital after I installed a 160 stat.
The analog temp gauge used to hit 245 -250 on occasion. Now the digital shows 180 or so and the analog is displaying way low at around 130. Makes me wonder how hot the car really was running????
My analog oil temp gauge never goes over about 140; digital shows 180 - 200.

When these cars were new, there was some sort of sticker on the gauge cluster that stated that the anolog gauges were not properly graduated or something to that effect. I cannot remember exactly what it said. Also the sending units for the anolog gauges are in a different location than the digital ones so there will be some sort of variance. I have also noticed when I use Diacom, the readings I get are different from either the anolog or the digital gauges.I am not sure if any of them are actually correct.

In the manual, it tells you what the approx temp is on the anolog for each mark. The middle mark isn't necessarily the halfway point.
Also, someone told me that the sensors for the digital are in a different place than teh analog, therefore you would get a different reading.

The analog guages are non-linear, which to
me translates to non-human-readable without
some serious mental calculations.
Completely useless unless they are in the
"danger" zones. The digital ones are more
useful to me, but you can only have one
up at a time, at least on my '92.
Same thing on my GM pickup truck. Funny that
they put useless tick marks on the guages.
Purely a styling exercise. Being an engineer,
all this ticks me off!

I tend to keep the digital water temp gauge on full-time. The oil pressure analog gauge is in good view and accurate enough to let me know I'm running at least 40psi at 1,000 rpms and higher.
The rest of the small analog gauges on the right side of the pod just take up space and are pretty useless.

Digital. My analog pegs from time to time, but when it is reading it always matches the digital. Your computer reads off the digital sensor, so thats what your computer is going by.
