Default Help!! Problem with starting and idle.

This is my first post. i have a 90 vette, auto, and in the morning it is hard to start. It takes at least 2 times before it starts and then the idle is rough until it warms up then it idles fine. It is a rebuilt engine with 11,000 miles on it. I have tried everything I can think of with no change. PLEASE HELP!

It has new injectors, new cap, rotor, plugs, plug wires, fuel pressure is at 40 psi, new map sensor, new fuel pump, fuel filter. o2 sensor is new, throttle body is new, the iac came with the car and tps is 4 months old.

well i know the oil pressure sensor works with the fuel pump it will build oil pressure than the car will start. my car takes a crank or 2 then it starts. everything is new also. my car also runs a little rough when cold then once it goes into closed loop it runs smooth.the o2 senser has to reach about 600 degrees before the ecm and o2 work together. do you have a scanner??

I do not have a scanner. The car is really idling bad around 400-1100 rpm , revs up and down for at least 15 mins then runs smooth. i have had the car on the road for a year and it has never acted like this.

i dont know what the tps is set at. The iac is 14 years old but has no carbon build up and the passage is clean. i had to replace the tps 4 months ago for two high of rpm.

Welcome newbie! To better help the members with your problem, can you summarize what you refered to as "everything I can think of with no change"?
Does the 90 motor have a ninth injector like the early L98's?

90 polo,

if you slightly put your foot onthe accellerator does it smoothen out?

It could be the IAC I know you say you cleaned it etc but perhaps it isn't adjusted prolerly, there is a adjustment sequence in the helms that could perhpas br your problem.

I had asituation where mine froze up and the car in the morning would start and stall... start and stall.. but once it was warmed up it was fine... This sounds alot like that scenerio..

Hope this helps
