I just looked at Tire Rack out of pure boredom and noticed there is actually a cheaper tire out there now than the Kumho ECSTA 712. For $4 less per tire one can get the Sumitomo HTR+
Anybody ever run these, are they worth the rubber they are made of?

I dunno but they do make em in a 315/35 unlike the Khumo's so I will probably give em a try in a little while.
I've run them on a couple of cars. They do last a while, got 30K out of one rear set. They're not too loud, hook fair, corner pretty good, when warmed up.
They do not hook good when cold or in cold weather (cold roads).
They are stable at speed and balance well.
I've had them above 170 and never lost anything.
I usually run them about 32 psi.
Dunlop 8000 bite better, but @ $300+ each and around 24K mileage.
I am running them on my zr1. I only have a bout 500 miles on them but sofar they are pretty good. They grip better then my old
goodyear gs-c. They seem worth it for the money.
