I know what the codes mean but I was wondering if anyone could tell me if the code 51 could cause the code 34 also...
my car is running like a POS any help would be rewarded with an eighteen inch pizza with all of the topping you want at my resturant...if your ever in San Marcos.
Did you mess with the MEMCAL? 51 shoots up when you put in a bad MEMCAL or put it in backwards. Are the codes constant? I think the 51 would cause the 34.

replaced relays, code 34 gone...code 51 still there gonig to replace the PROM...Thanks for all the help guys anyone near San Marcos, TX stop in Italian Garden for pizza 415 N. LBJ...by South West TX UNIV.
Can't FEDEX them, the guys there will eat them.
If you want a production replacement, post the data on the PROM window cover. It will be cheaper and faster to get a copy form the forum guys. Coarse you will have to do some soldering! GM won't sell you a PROM, they will sell you a CalPack. Just make sure the 4 letters on the window cover are the same for the new.
I'll take the old CalPack and forward the PROM to Aaron! (Have many 256's if you need em Aaron.)
