Wanted to get some opinions on this chip package. Has anyone installed the stage 2 Hypertech in a 88. Does the 165 thermo really make the car run cooler. Also were there any noticeable perfomance improvements. Thanks.

Does the Hypertech Stage 2 chip work ONLY with the 165 degree thermostat? If I had a 160 degree in would it "understand"?

My car has a stage 2 chip and 160 degree thermo in it, and yes it does run much cooler.
