Polished Mag Covers!!!
Yes, it can be done. Here is a picture of the finished results of polishing a set of OEM magnesium valve covers off my 92. You can compare them to the painted ones currently on my LT1. They go on this week.

It's been happening a LOT lately around here.. I think it's a software glitch - sometimes after you click SUBMIT REPLY it takes 3-4 minutes.

wow those are sweet 
how do you polish down past the pitting and stuff and keep the surface relatively smooth and flat? We won't talk about what my valve covers look like after being "refinished"
