86 Dash Digital does not work?

86 Dash Digital does not work?

My dash lights up and the digits can't be seen had the cluster apart but can't see anything wrong.
Any ideas?
All dash lights work 1986 silver coupe checked the plug in the center console it's ok .

hm.

ok, I need to be sure I am understanding you correctly, the lights come on, but the numbers are not visable?

the earlier digi-dashes are noted for failure... which sucks.

my first thought is a bad contact, make sure everything is clean.

after that, I am not sure.

Yes no numbers and it lights up.

I could off some suggestions if you provide a little better description... I'm not sure I understand "It lights up but no numbers" When does this happen? Is it all the time? any fluctations? what lights up?
