Well all the best equipment in the world means squat unless you know how to use it, which seems to be the problem around here. I don't know what type of equipment this shop has but I imagine it is pretty good. The shop is fairly new and they have always done honest work for me in the past.
I'd much rather take it to them than anybody else because they have a really good track record with me.
Example:
A supposedly reputable shop took my friend's car, they were supposed to align it. After ALL day he finally went back over there and asked them what the deal was. They told him "it can't be aligned" When he asked them why they didn't have an answer. They wanted to charge him for that answer! Obviously he didn't pay them. I told him to take the car over to Mark Muffler. They had the car 5 minutes and told him that it could not be aligned because parts A, B & C were bent. They told him that if those were fixed it could be aligned, they could do the work or he could bring it back after it was done. They didn't charge him a thing.
My drivers outer edge seems to wear more than the others as well. I have attributed this to 1) front heavy car which in its nature will load the outer edge of the front tires with cornering, and 2) I seem to make many more spirited rt turns vs. lt turns. It is pretty rare when you can make a fast lt turn in a suburban setting, i'm usually waiting for the arrow or behind other cars. If the light is green and i'm making a rt turn the opportunity to let is hang out is there often...
